Platyzosteria novaeseelandiae
• 20mm long
• Wingless
• Females deposit the ootheca (egg case) containing 16 eggs a day after production.
• Ootheca are cemented down and widely scattered.
• Hatch in 1 - 2 months.
• Nymphs take 2 - 4 months to develop into adults.
• They live in leaf litter, under loose bark, in rotten wood, amongst stones on the ground.
• They sometime enter the house particularly in very wet weather or after gardening clean up.
